Lemon Fuego Chips are a fiery twist on traditional tortilla chips. They're perfect for snacking or dipping into salsa, guacamole, or hummus, adding a zesty burst of flavor to every bite.
Ingredients
- 10-12 yellow corn tortillas (dried out are best)
- 3/4 to 1 cup avocado oil
- Lemon Fuego seasoning to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare: Cut tortillas into 4 or 6 triangles depending how large you’d like your chips. Line a paper towel on a resting plate to absorb excess oil after cooking your chips.
Step 2
Preheat the Oil: Add avocado oil to a deep pot and heat to 350 degrees or until sizzle.
Step 3
Cook: Add a small quantity of tortillas to the oil using tongs or a slotted spoon. Do not overcrowd to allow each batch to submerge in the oil and cook to a golden brown, about 2 minutes. Transfer cooked chips to a resting plate lined with paper towels. Season with Lemon Fuego seasoning to taste.
Step 4
Serve: Serve with your favorite salsa, hummus or guacamole.
